Normally Honored Bound doesn’t deal with MIA servicemen/women but this one tugs at the heart. PFC Keith Bowen went missing while serving in WWII in January 1945. The VP of Honored Bound reached out to the President of Honored Bound Tonja Anderson-Dell as a seller of a home outside Venice, FL to throw away all items left in the home. These items were the life of PFC Bowen and his family. Tonja’s grandfather was from Laural, FL which is also outside of Venice, FL and as she is a granddaughter whose grandfather went missing while serving in the military, she couldn’t just throw it away.
While doing research, Tonja noticed that the granddaughter in the news cared for the grandfather they didn’t know and provided DNA. She felt that there was no way the ladies in the news could have thrown those items away. After several calls and messages, Tonja was able to locate the granddaughters of PFC Bowen.
They spoke for hours and provided proof she was in possession of PFC items. They will work on meeting face-to-face soon.
